Somerset de Chairs reminiscences on World War Two, in particular his experiences as a desert campaigner and on the Levant-Caspian front.

A remarkable first-hand account of the hardships of the Second World War. 

Illustrated with a frontispiece, and with numerous full page and vignette monochrome illustrations throughout.

In quarter morocco signed binding by Sangorski & Sutcliffe, with their stamp to the head of the front free endpaper verso.


CONDITION

In a signed quarter morocco binding, with cloth covered boards. Externally, excellent, but with a touch of fading to back strip, as is common with blue morocco. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
